Kilabo (LL6 Breccia)

On July 21st, 2002, a large fireball was observed and detonations were heard in Nigeria. Several stones were said to have been heard hitting the ground by villagers in the Kilabo region. In total, about 19kg of material was recovered. A type sample was sent to Paul Sipiera with the Planetary Studies Foundation (PSF) for analysis and was classified as a LL6
brecciated chondrite with a shock grade of 3 and weathering grade of 0.

The samples for sale here came DIRECTLY from PSF, the classifying institution. They are nice fresh stones and have some great jet black shock veins!
